Horizontal Stab

This page contains pictures and remarks about the the construction of my homebuilt aircraft.

[ READ THE DISCLAIMER! ]

The horizontal stab spar is a 4' tube with a 1' tube inserted into the center of it. I used a silver colored pencil to mark the center of the inner tube and drilled a 3/16" hole in the center of the 4' tube so that I could be sure the inner tube is in the correct position.

This is the conglomeration of tubing that holds the Horizontal Stab to the fuselage.

The Horizontal Stab installed on the spar and the elevator in place.

Had to heat up the tubing on the horizontal stab opposite of the spots where the hinge bushings were welded to try and straighten out the tube. This tube slides over the horizontal stab spar.

Another veiw of the horizontal tail assembly.
